After a month acclimatizing in the Khumbu Valley - beginning with a 7-day trek up to Everest base camp and several short hikes bringing us to 20,000 feet, including rotations through the Khumbu ice fall and staying nights at Everest Camps 1 and 2....the time is upon us to go higher in pursuit of the summit. We have endured a few health set backs during our journey. But today, we are as ready as we will ever be. At 2 am local time, the climbing team will start our final rotation
through the Khumbu ice fall and up to Camp 2 - staying two nights before heading to Camps 3 and 4. Based on current weather forecasts, we will make our summit push on May 22. Attached below are some recent acclimatization pictures.

I just came across your story. Praying for your safety and will check back to hear the end of your adventure. My friends and I are making the trek to base camp in the fall but I can't imagine having what it takes to attempt the summit!!
