My last post highlighted our climb to the top of Lobuche peak (20k). This is considered a mini "rotation". A rotation is when you climb high, maybe sleep at that

higher elevation, then descend to the lower camp to get some rest. This improves acclimatization. I got very sick
after Lobuche - a severe chest cold. The majority of the team (Brett and Dean included) moved back to Everest base camp and did a second 5-day rotation to Everest base camps 1, 2 and touched camp 3. I, on the other hand, helicoptered

off of base camp down to Kathmandu to get on a cycle of antibiotics and other medications. I stayed there while Brett/Dean and team completed their rotation. Today, I'm back at base camp & fully recovered. Brett/Dean just returned and are taking a 5-day break to recover. My plan is to replicate their camps 1-2 rotation while they are on their much earned rest. Then.... the plan is for all of us to meet back up at base camp around May 15-20 and start the final rotation back to camps 1-4....and the summit!!
