Climbed Lobuche but many on the team got sick (6 pics)

We had a Puja ceremony on April 25 with a local Lama presiding - praying for safe passage on Mount Everest in the coming weeks. On April 26, we hiked down to Lobuche village and then proceeded to go up to Lobuche base camp to sleep for 5 hours. The next morning at 2 AM we got up and as a team we summited Lobuche, which is a 20,000 foot peak. This was an important acclimatization exercise - simulating the the elevation an technical aspects of the infamous Khumbu ice fall. The stress of the climb wiped a number of us out - severe chest colds and G.I. Issues
